John Wm. Queen, 65, of Hooksett, NH, died unexpectedly on August 14, 2013, at Catholic Medical Center.
Born in Manchester, NH on December 1, 1947, he was the son of Charles E. and Emma (Pressler) Queen, Sr. He resided in the Manchester area most his life before moving to Hooksett ten years ago.
He graduated from Manchester Memorial High School, Class of 1967. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice from at Saint Anselm College.
During the Vietnam War, he served with the United States Air Force.
He was a police officer who served with both Bedford and Merrimack Police Departments for several years. After his retirement from the police force, he was an automobile salesman.
An avid golfer, he was a member of the Derryfield Country Club.
Family members include his two sons, Adam Queen of Vancouver, Washington and Taylor Queen of Hill AFB, Utah; his brother, Charles E. Queen, Jr., of Hooksett.
Service: Following cremation, a celebration of his life will be held Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, corner of Concord Street, Manchester, NH.
