A lifelong Chelsea resident, she passed away after a brief illness Thursday evening August 15th in her home surround by her loving and caring family. She was 63 years of age. Born and raised in Chelsea, she was the beloved daughter of Helen Troisi of Chelsea and the late Constantino “Babe” Troisi. She attended St Stanislaus Parochial School and Chelsea High School. More than 33 years ago she began working as a union electrician with AMTRAK, performing railroad car maintenance. She was one of the first women hired in that position overcoming many obstacles and prejudices as a woman working in that field. She persevered and was proud that she was able to help pave the way for other women to follow. She retired 3 years ago and was a past member of the local I.B.E.W.
Her Funeral will begin from the Anthony Memorial Funeral Home 157 Washington Ave. CHELSEA on Tuesday August 20th, at 8:00 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Church 163 Chestnut St. Chelsea at 9:00 A.M. Services will conclude with Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Anthony Memorial on Monday from 4 - 8 P.M.
She was the loving daughter of Helen (Mendalka) Troisi of Chelsea and the late Constantino “Babe” Troisi. Dear sister of Stanley Troisi and his wife Donna of Chelsea, Andrew Troisi and his wife Mary Pat of Everett and she was recently preceded in death by her sister Marie Jeffrey this past April. Beloved aunt of Brian Jeffrey, Michael Troisi, Christopher Troisi, Lauren Troisi, Lyndsay Troisi, Emily Troisi and the late Christopher Jon Jeffrey. She is also survived by several great nieces and great nephews.
