Paul J Bolieau

U.S. VeteranPaul J. Bolieau, 66, of Manchester, NH, died June 25, 2013, at Community Hospice House, after brief illness.


Born in Manchester, NH on April 25, 1947, he was the son of the late Amos J. and Mary K. (Connor) Bolieau. He was a lifelong resident of the Queen City.


He graduated from Bishop Bradley High School, Class of 1965.


During the Vietnam War, he served with the United States Air Force.


In his early years, he was a police dispatcher for the Town of Bedford. Later, he was police and fire departments communication supervisor for the Town of Merrimack. Most recently, he was dispatcher with the Manchester Fire Department for fifteen years.


Mr. Bolieau was a Manchester Fire Department Commissioner from 1996 to 1999. He currently served as selectman representing Manchester Ward Four. He was president of “Bring Home the Fox” organization. For many years, he was active with the Manchester Republican Party.


An avid sport fan, he especially enjoyed the Manchester Monarchs. He was a season ticket holder since their first year here. He had a special interest in fire truck memorabilia as well as the history of the City of Manchester.


He was a lifelong communicant of Saint Joseph Cathedral.


A loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he enjoyed the pleasures of family life.


Family members include his wife, of thirty-eight years, Diane (Garon) Bolieau; two daughters, Kimberly Bolieau, and Kerry Tripp and her husband, Steve all of Manchester; two grandsons, Mack and Cade; a brother, Robert Bolieau of Pahrump, Nevada; five sisters, Carol Miville, Madeline Aron, Catherine Wallas and her husband, Richard, Patricia Bolieau, and Anne Blanchard and her husband, Gregg, all of Manchester; his step-mother, Mary (Vargas) Bolieau; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He also was predeceased by two brothers, Gerald F. Bolieau and John T. Bolieau as well as a sister, Mary E. “Bette” Couture.


Services: Calling hours are Friday from 3 to 7 PM at the Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Cemetery, 537 Union Street, corner of Concord Street, Manchester.


The funeral will be held Saturday with a mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 9 AM in Saint Joseph Cathedral, corner of Pine and Lowell Streets, Manchester.

Burial with military honors will take place in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Bedford, NH.
