Milton J. "Buzz" Sawyer III age 79, of Andover, died peacefully Saturday, June 22, 2013 in New Brighton, MN. Buzz was raised in Massachusetts with two older sisters, Jane and Barbara. He graduated from KU (University of Kansas) in Engineering, served in the Air Force for several years in the 1950's, and received the Air Medal and Distinguished Flying Cross. He was married for over 40 years to Georgia Sawyer, raising four wonderful children. He has five grandchildren and three great-grandsons. Buzz owned and operated a small electrical contracting business based in New Brighton (Arden Electric) for over 20 years. He loved to travel - favorite trips include Thailand, Indonesia, many European destinations, Australia/New Zealand, and Costa Rica. He and Georgia owned a home in Puerto Rico for 10 years, although most of their summers were spent at their cabin in Northwestern Wisconsin. Buzz was fairly fluent in Spanish, loved to cook, was a licensed Ham radio (Amateur radio) operator, and always enjoyed sharing his talents and knowledge with everyone. He will be laid to rest alongside Georgia, in a small Catholic cemetery near the cabin. We will meet again someday; until then he will be missed by friends and family.
