Of Chelsea, he passed away on June 18th at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett following a brief illness. He was 70 years of age. Born in the West End, he was the son of Robert and Mary (Connelly) Crowley. He attended St. Joseph Parochial School in the West End and Don Bosco High School in Boston. He enlisted in the US Marine Corps and served during Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1965. William worked for many years as a telephone repairman for New England Tel and Tel. He lived for many years in South Boston and East Boston and had been residing in Chelsea for the past 10 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in South Boston and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans. He enjoyed playing games of chance.
He is the loving son of the late Robert and Mary (Connelly) Crowley. Dear brother of Carole Ciampa of East Boston, Eileen Morrill of Quincy and Robert Crowley of Sagamore. Cherished Godfather of Julie Perelli of Chelsea and also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral will begin from the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Tuesday, June 25th at 10:00 A.M. Followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Michael the Archangel Chapel, Chelsea Soldiers Home, 91 Crest Ave, Chelsea at 11:00 A.M. Services will conclude with Interment at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 2:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend.
