Ken Kruepke of Jackson died unexpectedly at his home on Monday, June 10, 2013 at the age of 55. He was born on November 21, 1957 in Milwaukee to the late Annette and Howard Kruepke.

After graduating from Germantown High School in 1976, he joined the family-owned business, Kruepke Trucking. Ken was an integral part of Kruepke Trucking, serving as both the safety officer and vice president of operations.

Ken was a proud father of Kyle (Angela) and Kori (Kevin) and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Cookouts at the family pool were a regular weekend event during the summer months. Ken was very active in community sports and played on several softball, volleyball and dart leagues. Grilling was one of his passions and he loved to volunteer his services for numerous charitable events. Ken also loved to travel and ride his bike in his spare time.

Football season was another of Ken’s great passions with the Green Bay Packers taking center stage. He extended this love into a great collection of Green Bay Packer memorabilia which he loved to share with others.

Ken is survived by his children Kyle (Angela) and Kori (Kevin) Guillot, and special friend Pam Boettcher. He is also survived by three grandchildren Marley, Dylan, and Delilah and a grandson to be born in September. Survivors also include nine brothers and sisters John (Marian) of Jackson, Bob (Linda) of Colgate, Jim (Barb) of West Bend, Tom (Doreen) of Jackson, Mary (Steve) Plier of Jackson, Bonnie of Jackson, Dick of Jackson, Nancy of Jackson and Jeff (Linda) of West Bend; 1 sister-in-law Karen (Eric) Schmitz of West Bend, mother of his children Peggy Kruepke (Kranz) and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Daniel “Mooch” on January 10, 2005.

Visitation will be held at Schmidt Funeral Home in Jackson on Friday, June 14 from 3 PM to 7:30 PM with a funeral service to follow. Burial will be on Saturday at 10:30 AM at Washington County Memorial Park. As a tribute to Ken and his love of the Green Bay Packers, the family encourages you to wear Green Bay Packer clothing to the burial.

Ken’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the Jackson Fire and Rescue, the Jackson Police Department and the Office of the Washington County Medical Examiner for their compassion and professionalism.
