Earl W. Bremser passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at the Samaritan Home at the age of 101.
Earl was born on September 25, 1911 at the Bremser homestead north of St. Michaels in the town of Farmington. He was the oldest son of Susan (Berres) and John N. Bremser. Earl spent most of his life farming the Bremser homestead, which is what he loved to do. After leaving the farm and retiring, Earl lived for a time in Fillmore and then in Kewaskum before entering the Samaritan in 1999. Earl had a very sharp mind and loved current affairs and he was an avid Brewer and Packer fan.
Earl is survived by his siblings: Lenore Goerke of North Carolina, Mary Brauchle of Wild Rose, WI, Angeline Plzak of Jackson, WI and brother Frank Bremser of Manitowoc, WI. Earl was the beloved and cherished godfather of Suzanne Tennies, Georgiann Waraksa and Chery Bremser. He is further survived by one sister-in-law Althea (Frank) Falter, many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his sisters Gertrude Koll, Helen Weinert and Celeste Meilinger and brother Alois Bremser; sister-in-law Rose Bremser, brothers-in-law George Meilinger, Ken Goerke, Joe Koll, James Plzak and Bob Brauchle.
Earl was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church his entire life and will be laid to rest in St. Michael’s cemetery.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013 at St. Michael’s Church, St. Michael’s WI. Visitation will be at the church from 2:30 until the time of the Mass. Burial will take place at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday June 8th in St. Michael’s cemetery.
