Robert L. Baker, age 80, of Warsaw, MO, passed away Saturday, June 1, 2013, at the Warsaw Health and Rehab Center in Warsaw. He was born on July 6, 1932, in Odessa, Missouri the son of Farris
and Freda Stellwell Baker.
Bob was a sheet metal worker, involved in building power houses throughout the United States.
He was united in marriage to Helen Faye Hamilton on August 1, 1964 in Miami, Oklahoma. Due to his work, they lived in various places throughout the country while calling Kansas City home. He retired as Forman for Owens-Corning Power Processing in Kansas City, in the early 1990’s.
They continued coming weekends to their lake home on Lake of the Ozarks and finally moved there. In 1996, they moved to Warsaw.
Bob attended Warsaw Assembly of God Church in Warsaw, was a volunteer fireman while living on the lake and was a member of the Iron Workers Union of Kansas City, MO. He enjoyed fishing and in his younger days was quite the motorcycle racer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
Surviving is his wife, Helen Faye, of the home, two daughters, Sandy and Pam and a son, Bobby; two step-children, Crystal Hoch of Hoisington, KS and Susie Smith of Mission, Kansas, 14 grandchildren and several great and great-great-grandchildren and many friends.
Funeral services for Robert Baker will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at the Warsaw Assembly of God Church in Warsaw, MO. Burial will be in the Shawnee Cemetery, Warsaw. A visitation will be held an hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements by Reser Funeral Home
