Rosemary I. Bergeman, 89, of Chippewa Falls, died Monday, April 29, 2013 at Wissota Health & Regional Vent Center in Chippewa Falls.

She was born December 7, 1923 in Chippewa Falls, the daughter of Earl H. and Anna M. (Nicolai) Picotte.

The family moved to Beaver, Dam for a few years, returning to Chippewa Falls. She attended Notre Dame Grade School and McDonell Memorial High School graduating, class of 1941. She did secretarial and office work in Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls.

On June 15, 1946, she married Donald H. Bergeman at Our Lady of the Falls Shrine, Notre Dame Church. She was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church, P.C.C.W. of Notre Dame, Catholic Women’s Club, McDonell Alumni Association, Elks Ladies Auxiliary, and St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary. She and Don owned and operated Chippewa Plumbing & Heating for many years. She was a former member and officer of the Northwest Plumbing & Heating Association Auxiliary before retiring. She did volunteer work at the Rutledge Home, Notre Dame Church and St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Rosemary is survived by two daughters, Barbara J. (Lyle) Goettl of Cadott and Ann L. (Michael) Swoboda of Jim Falls; three sons, Michael D. (Linda) of Eau Claire, Patrick E. (Elua) of Naperville, Ill. and Jeffrey E. (Valerie) of Chippewa Falls; 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald on January 3, 1989; her parents; one brother, Eugene Picotte in 1987; one sister, Dorothy Meredith in 1980; and one daughter-in-law, Susan Bergeman.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 3 at Notre Dame Church in Chippewa Falls. Rev. Msgr. Mark Pierce will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Hope Cemetery in Chippewa Falls.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 2 and until 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. The Ladies of Notre Dame will recite the rosary at 4 p.m. and there will be a Christian Vigil Service at 6 p.m. both on Thursday at the funeral home.
