Daniel “Punk” Breaker, age 46 years, of Tigerton passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Homme Home of Wittenberg.
Daniel Ray Breaker was born on August 3, 1966 in Tigerton to Delmar and Leah Rae (Ziegenhagen) Breaker. On February 13, 1988 he was united in marriage to Kristi Lee Stenson at St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton. Dan worked for some years with several local potato farmers. Then he was employed for quite a while as a logger with Hoppe Forest Products in Tigerton. Dan was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, and in his younger years really enjoyed sports, like baseball and football. In 1988 Dan was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He was an avid Packer and Brewer fan and served as batboy for the Tigerton BABA Team. Dan always liked the outdoors and especially loved deer hunting. More recently, he took part in handicapped hunts, he watched game shows, played cards, won at bingo, and took part in other activities at Homme Home. Dan will be rememberd most as a loving father, a devoted grandfather, and a caring person to everyone he met.
Survivors include one daughter, Amber Breaker, one granddaughter, Brezeis Breaker, and his mother, Leah Rae Breaker, all of Tigerton. There is one sister, Gail (Dan) Young of Germantown, and two brothers, Dale (Lori) Breaker of Tigerton and Patrick (Laurie) Breaker of Wittenberg. There are five nephews and one niece: Jason Breaker and his daughter Madigan of Markesan, Brad (Haley) Breaker and their daughter Sienna of Tigerton, Joe (Josie) Peterson of Germantown, Jim Peterson of Milwaukee, Jen Peterson of Germantown, and Dennis Kiedrowski of Wittenberg. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Dan is preceded in death by his father Delmar in 1989.
The family wishes to thank all the nurses and staff at Homme Home and Aspirus Comfort Care Hospice for the out poring of compassion towards Dan.
A Remembrance Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton, with Rev. Matthew Uttenreither officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Tigerton, and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
