Douglas “Doug” Mario Alfiler, 61, of Camas and Spanaway, Washington; died on Friday, October 19, 2012 at home. He was born in Laupahoehoe, Hawaii. He was the owner of the Hawaiian Express in Camas, Washington. He was also a former employee for Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and United Airlines Flight Kitchen in Portland, Oregon; and a shuttle driver for the Oregon Zoo. A Celebration of His Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 8, 2012) at the Alfiler’s residence in Paauilo. Scattering of his ashes will be held at a later date. Casual attire. Survived by, daughters, Kim (Paul) Gerlack of Camas, Washington and Tiana (Manju) Mayachar of Vancouver, Washington; son, Ryan Alfiler of Oahu; mother, Mary Ynigues Alfiler of Paauilo; brothers, Mariano (Joyce) Alfiler, Jr. of Papaaloa and Harold (Carmen) Alfiler of Honokaa; sisters, Eleanor Gonsalves of Hilo, Vickie (Richard) Jonet of East Wenatchee, Washington and Bessie Alfiler of Paauilo; six grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
