Peter C. Bowers, 65, of 49 E. Spring St. in Chippewa Falls, died suddenly Friday, November 9, 2012 at his residence.

He was born August 20, 1947 in Chippewa Falls, the son of Orville and Betty (Tonnancour) Bowers.

On May 17, 1976, he married Patricia McIntyre in Chippewa Falls.

He owned and operated Pete’s Pub I in Holcombe and Pete’s Pub II on Spring St. in Chippewa Falls. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and being in the woods and on the lakes of Northern Wisconsin. He loved Leinies and road trips, usually at the same time. He also loved to travel to the desert and to Alaska and told unforgettable and entertaining stories of people and places from throughout his life. Later in life he discovered he had a love and talent for art, and painting became very important to him.

Peter’s daughters and grandchildren meant the world to him and he was so proud of all of them. Peter is survived by three daughters, Holly (Bill) Hedrington of Chippewa Falls, Angela Bowers (Jamal Floate) of Sitka, Alaska and Kimberly “Kacey” Bowers of Eau Claire; 5 grandchildren, Hayden, Sophie, Isaak, Mathias and Wren; one brother, Norman “Butch” (Tracey) Bowers of Little Suamico, Wis.; one sister, Patricia (Gerald) Nadreau of Tomah; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 13, at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. Burial of cremains will be in Holcombe Cemetery at a later date.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of services on Tuesday, November 13 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls.

Peter’s family would like to thank all of the people that helped and cared for him in the years since his stroke; including his Gemini aides, Community Health Partnership teams, doctors, nurses, aides and physical therapists at a number of local nursing homes and assisted living facilities and Sacred Heart Hospital. Peter’s journey was long, but his recovery was made better by all of you.
