Ernest G. Kueffer of Jackson, died on Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Froedtert Health St. Joseph's Hosital at the age of 90 years. He was born on December 16, 1921 in Saginaw, MI to the late George and Ida (nee Zeitel) Kueffner. During World War II, he served with the United States Navy. Following his discharge, he returned to Michigan.
On January 18, 1946, he was united in marriage to Phyllis G. Brandel. The couple then moved from Saginaw, living in Indiana and later settling in Wisconsin.
Ernest founded and operated Fullpail Sales in Hartford, a dairy cattle sales business. He loved all aspects of the dairy industry, especially meeting people from all over the area.
He was a member of the Hartford Post #8834 VFW.
Survivors include his wife Phyllis; 2 sons Vincent (David Johnson) and Ernest (Terri Packard); 3 grandchildren Ernest A. Kueffner, Elliot Kueffner and Anne Marie LaBelle; 4 great-grandchildren Austin, Layla, Milo and Ethan; a special friend Betty Kroll; other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 sister Louis Daenzer.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday, September 30 at 4 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend. The family will greet relatives and friends prior to the services beginning at 1 p.m. Memorials to the charity of the donor's choice are appreciated.
