U.S. VeteranGregory Allen Covault, 58 of Veedersburg, IN., died at 8:15 p. m. Saturday September 22, 2012 at The Waters of Covington. He was born at Homewood, IL August 22, 1954 the son of John Wilbur and Rosemary (Ehrie) Covault.

Greg received his GED from Fountain Central High School, and served in the Navy. He was a truck driver and a member of Teamsters Local #26.

He loved spending time with his family, friends and his dog Molly. They were the love of his life. He enjoyed fishing, camping, boating, mushroom hunting, carpentry, mechanics, and watching John Wayne movies. He was an avid NASCAR fan of Dale Earnhardt.

Greg married Karen Wright November 19, 1976. He is survived by Karen, his mother Rosemary Covault of Stone Bluff; 6 children, Amy Fisher of Lafayette, Angie (Dusty) Bowling of Covington, Kassi (Matt Griffis of Danville, IL, Dusti (Chad) Avery of Champaign, Bobbi Jo (Bill Bradford) Kovacic of Perrysville, and Jon Covault of Covington.

Also surviving are three brothers, John (Fran) Covault of Hillsboro, Kenneth Covault of Lafayette, Don (Sue) Covault of Brooksville, FL, two sisters, Katie Johnson of Attica and Marilyn Cox of Veedersburg; 2 half-brothers, Charles Covault of Montana, and Mark Covault, a half-sister, Jackie Covault both of Crawfordsville, and 13 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Father, a brother Fred; Grandson, Laine Kovacic and Brother-in-law, Brad Johnson.

Visitation will be Wed. Sept. 26th from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. EDT at Shelby Funeral Home in Covington, IN. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 A.M. EDT Thursday September 27, 2012 in Shelby Funeral Home, with Greg McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in Osborn Prairie Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the family.
