Richard L. “Dick”Roubal, age 75 of Marion, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 3, 1936 in Rice Lake, son of the late John and Frieda (Baumberger) Roubal. From 1954 to 1957, Richard served in the U.S. Army. On July 16, 1960, Richard was united in marriage to Beulah Hanson in Barron, WI. In 1968, Richard and Beulah moved to Marion and purchased the Bakery. In 1978, they built Roubal’s Bakery & Restaurant on Main St. in Marion and then Richard became a Rural Route Carrier for Route 2 in 1984 retiring from the US Postal Service in 2001.
Richard was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marion, he also belonged to the American Legion Post #198 and a former member of the Marion Lions. He was an avid woodsman and enjoyed his winters in Arizona.
Richard is survived by his wife; Beulah, four children; Jeffery (Wendy), Black Creek, Julie (Kevin) Hatch, Marshall, Richard Scott, Colorado Springs, CO and Mike (Loretta), Hortonville. He is further survived by eight grandchildren; Mitchell (Sarah), Ellen, Phillip, Nicholas, Jacob, Abby, Samantha and Sarah, as well a sister; Ann Marie Hazen.
Besides his parents, Richard was preceded in death by two brothers; infant twin, Robert and John.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marion with Fr. Patrick Lloyd presiding. Richard will be laid to rest at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Marion. Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Marion.
