Eugene Douglas Gregory was born in Steubenville, Ohio on Spetember 22, 1941 to Austell and Elizabeth Meador Gregory.
He was reared in Weirton, West Virginia and after graduating he was inducted into the United States Air Force. He served his country during the Vietnam Era and was Honorably Discharged.
Eugene was Protestant by faith. He was a true outdoors man and enjoyed camping and fishing. His greatest enjoyment came from traveling on his Harley Davidson. He was even in a motorcycle club at one point.
He was a hard worker and retired from Weirton Steel Corp after many years of service. After his retirement he decided to work again at the Mountaineer Gaming Resort. He was a very active man until his health began to fail.
He was preceded in death by one sister Antoinette and two brothers, Michael and Stanley.
He is survived by one daughter Veronica of Philadelphia, PA, two brothers; Terone (Marsha) of Cincinnati, OH and Nathaniel (Ruth) of Weirton, WV, one aunt; Annie Wooley of Cincinnati, OH, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a nephew, a host of nieces, cousins and friends.
Funeral Friday, June 8, 2012 at 11:00AM, Gregory-Martin Funeral Home Bldg, 2028 Delaware Ave. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at 10AM
Rev. Carl Terry will officiate
Burial to follow at Paris Cemetery. United States Air Force Honor Guard will conduct final Military Rites.
