Chad Avery

Born: April 23, 1973
Died: May 27, 2012

Chad was born in Redding on April 23, 1973 to David and Linda Avery. He leaves behind his mother Linda, father David, brothers Shawn and Jordan and various uncles, aunts cousins nieces and nephews. Chad was a wonderful person with a big heart who gave to anyone who needed a helping hand. He even dropped all plans and cared for his ailing grandfather until his death in 2007. Chad went to Bass School, Nova, CVHS then Shasta College. Chad received an AA at Shasta but was always taking more classes in Master gardening, horticulture, irrigation and whatever pertained to his yard maintenance business. Chad had started his own business a few years ago while still working for Buz's Crab and various other places. His business card said "You'll be glad with Chad". He always tried to do the best he could for all of his customers.

Chad also volunteered as coordinator for the Community Garden at Shasta Lake City and enjoyed having his own garden site to grow vegetables for his vegetarian diet. Chad also volunteered to help clean up at the old St. Joseph's Cemetery and would even go on his own time to keep it neat and tidy. Chad was a Green Bay Packers fan and still rooted for them even though his favorite, Brett Farve was gone. Chad was friendly to all those he met and would always stop to chat. He especially loved his 2 dogs, Dutch and Duke and would take them everywhere he could. Chad was best friends with his younger brother Jordan. They would fly RC helicopters, go dirt bike riding, shoot rockets, ride mechanical bulls, go salamander hunting, fishing and jump from the top of Sheaky Falls in the summertime. Chad was always laughing and telling funny jokes to whomever would listen. He will be missed by all!

A mass for Chad will be at 10:00 A.M., June 19th at St. Joseph's Church across from Benton Air Park.

Arrangements made through Allen & Dahl Funeral Chapel in Redding (243-1525).
