Joan L. Adamski

Died: August 21, 2011

Joan L. Adamski, nee Braner, age 51, a resident of Hanover Park, and formerly a 43 year resident of Chicago, died Sunday, August 21, 2011, at home, after fighting breast cancer for 7+ years, with her husband Max, who sacrificially stayed by her side, until the Lord took her home.

She was born January 14, 1960 in Evergreen Park to Henry and Dolores Braner. She acquired a C N A certificate, to better care for her parents and stayed by their sides until both of their deaths.

Joan moved to Hanover Park after meeting her husband, Max C Adamski on in 2003 and were married on July 7, 2007.
She worked for K-Mart for 23 years, then worked for Sunrise Assisted Living, before going back to retail work for Target. She enjoyed spending her time with family and friends.

Joan loved to travel with Max and was in awe of God’s creation. She dedicated her final years to sharing her faith in Jesus Christ with those she loved. She had attended Calvary Lutheran Church in Chicago and had most recently attended Wheaton Bible Church.
Joan and Max’s pets, were a special blessing to her and always by her side.
In her final months, her mother-in-law, Karen L Adamski of Phoenix, AZ, and her father-in-law, Maximilian Adamski, Jr., of Tega Cay, SC, also sacrificially and lovingly helped Max care for her.

She is survived by her husband Max C. Adamski; her siblings, Henry Braner of Statesboro, GA; Deborah Langeloh of Tucson, AZ; Janet Matusak of Romeoville, IL and Ron Braner of Alsip, IL. She also had many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved dearly.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at 10:00AM. A celebration of her life will follow at 12:00PM at Hultgren Funeral Home. Interment will be held privately at Chapel Hill Gardens South in Oak Lawn, IL.
