U.S. VeteranA celebration for the life of Donald Eugene Graham of Lone Grove, Oklahoma, will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 11, 2011, at the Harvey-Douglas Centennial Chapel, Ardmore, with Brother H.H. Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery, Wilson. A time of visitation and support will be Wednesday evening from 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born October 20, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Deb and Edith Graham, Don passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011, at the Ardmore Veterans Center at the age of 77. He grew in Oklahoma City where he graduated from Central High School in 1952. In 1953 he married Jo Anne Ware and entered the Navy. While serving on the USS Hornet, he made an around the world cruise. He became a Mason in Oklahoma City and transferred his membership to Ardmore.

A resident of Ardmore and Lone Grove for 55 years, he was service manager at Hill Motor Company and taught Auto Mechanics at SOTC. During that time, he continued his education at MSC, SOSU and OSU.

Don enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening and tending his pecan orchard.

He is survived by his wife of the home, son David Graham and Tammy, son Mike Graham and Tina, son Joe Graham and daughter Donna Graham and Roger Jones. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Jeremy Graham, Brooke Dominguez, Whitney Worchester, Brian Graham, Rachael Graham, Travis Graham, Mark Jones and five great grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Norma Sue Hassman.

Serving as bearers will be his grandchildren and honorary bearers will be Eric Brawley, Mike Dominguez, Eddie Hassman, Roger Jones, Bill McCartney, and Richard Welch.
