Steve Douglas, whose family dates back to territorial days in Ardmore, began his career in funeral service with Harvey Funeral Home when he was a 15 year old high school sophomore. His grandfather, John Small, was a good friend of Cecil Harvey, who helped arrange the job in 1951.
“I’ve always worked here,” Douglas said. “Even on vacations from school and the military.”
After attending Oklahoma A & M, Douglas in 1956 enrolled in the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science and was licensed by the state of Oklahoma that year.
In August 1978, Douglas agreed to purchase 51 percent of the firm, and he gained controlling interest in 1988.
Brian attended Oklahoma State University and graduated from mortuary school in Dallas. He is vice president of the firm.
Darrin Douglas received his BS degree from Oklahoma State University school of Arts in 1991 and for ten years pursued a career in marketing with Tracy Locke Advertising Agency, A division of Omnicom, Inc, in Dallas, TX.
He rejoined the funeral firm in 2003 as Treasurer.
Sam Douglas, Secretary of the firm, received his associate degree in business from St. Gregory College and also attended Oklahoma State University.
He also graduated from the Dallas Mortuary Institute and is a licensed funeral director with the firm.
Tracy Campbell joined the firm in 2007 as funeral director/embalmer.
He is a 1989 graduate of Plainview High School in Ardmore and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor's of Science in Mortuary Science in 1992.
He has four children, Devnee, a student at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and Alexis, Tommi Lee and Zane, students at Plainview Public Schools.
He spends much of his free time cheering for his favorite sports teams (Oklahoma Sooners, Denver Broncos, Oklahoma City Thunder and the Texas Rangers) and officiating football and basketball. He enjoys working out with his friends at the Ardmore 24 Fit Camp, where he helps coach others to help meet their fitness goals. Tracy is a member of the CrystalRock Cathedral and is active with the Texoma Football Officials Association and the Texoma Basketball Officials Association.
John has been with the funeral home since 1990.
He is married to the former Alisha Johnston and they have three children (Dillon, Nate and Delaney) and one grandchild (Jaizlyn).
John is very active with his children and their activities. He is passionate about Dickson Comets sports and spends numerous volunteer hours helping at the school.
He is a active member at H2O church in Ardmore.
Pam has been with the funeral home since 2006.
