Delta Faye Canon
I am the daughter of Alton and Gertrude McWilliams, and the mother of Robert Glen and Gary Canon. My parents purchased this funeral home when I was six years old, and I became a Funeral Director in 1959. While still in high school I purchased Waller Florist and enjoyed the creativity in all aspects of the floral world. After selling the flower shop, I really spread my wings and became a licensed pilot and instructor. After recently re-joining the family business, I have reconnected with many of my high school friends in and around the Waller area.
Johna Kay Wilson
Secretary / Provisional Funeral Director
I'm Johna Wilson, known to many as Johna Kay. I was born in Houston to John Henry and Rachel Clepper McCoy. As a child, I dreamed of living "in the country". After my father's passing, my mother and I came to Waller most weekends to visit Granny Clepper and Uncle Duncan. I moved to Waller in 1986 and married David Wilson in 1987. Together we raised our 6 children in Field Store; and are now the most blessed Nonnie and PawPaw in the world. Of our 12 grandchildren, we are in walking distance to all but three of them, and that is subject to change in the near future.
I came to work for Canon Funeral Home in 2009 and recently graduated from Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Services, receiving my Provisional Funeral Director License. I am honored to serve the families of the community I have loved for so long.
Robert G. Canon is the son in the father and son partnership at Canon Funeral Home and has served this community since 1975. He is also the owner and operator of Canon Monument Company and Canon Mathis Cemetery. He is a member of Harvest Bible Church in Cypress. Robert is a licensed funeral director and embalmer and has a lifetime of experience in all aspects of the funeral and monument businesses.
