This fee includes:Professional Services: $525.00 - Personnel available 24 hours a day/365 days a year to respond to the initial call Arrangement conference Coordination of plans with the crematory for the direct cremation of the deceased Direct cremation procedure (additional charges apply if weight exceeds 250 lbs) Clerical assistance in the completion of various forms associated with a direct cremation Securing and recording the burial transit permit Securing the death certificate with the doctor’s office or county medical examiner Recording the death certificate with the county health department Overhead such as facilities maintenance, equipment and inventory costs, insurance, administration expenses and governmental compliance.
Refrigeration of the Body: 95.00 - Embalming is not required by Florida State Law and is not included in a direct cremation. Initial refrigeration charge is for the first 14 days of sheltering remains. Additional refrigeration charges of $50 per day will be incurred for extended sheltering of remains for each day beyond the initial 14 days.
Transportation: 275.00 - Removal of the deceased from the place of death within 50 miles. Additional transportation charge of $2.25 per mile beyond initial 50 miles.
Alternative Cremation Container: N/C - The State of Florida requires a cremation container which encases the body. Our containers are made of fiberboard or composition material. (If decedent is over 250 lbs, there will be a $125 charge for an oversized cremation container) Containers which meet the applicable state and/or crematory requirements can be supplied by the consumer.
