Jansen, Frank J. age 95 of Waconia passed away on Thursday March 25, 2010 at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia.

Mass of Christian Burial held on Monday March 29, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia with Father Larry Blake as celebrant of the Mass; visitation Sunday from 4-7 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia and 1 hour prior to the Mass at church; Final Resting Place St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.

Frank was born on August 24, 1914 in Waconia Twp. Carver County Minnesota the son of John and Margaret (Wagener) Jansen; Frank was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waconia; On November 8, 1941 Frank was united in marriage to Bernadette M. Meuleners at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Cologne; Frank thoroughly enjoyed being married to the love of his life for 68 years Bernadette; his number #1 priority in life was be a farmer; some of the pleasures Frank took part in his life were: square dancing, listening and dancing to old tyme music, playing cards, especially sheephead, watching the Twins and Vikings, enjoying the outdoors whatever activity it was; Frank had a love of animals in particular his dogs; in his days at the Good Samaritan Center Frank was always goofing around with the nurses making them laugh.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents John and Margaret Jansen; brothers Gilbert, George, Tony, and Ruben Jansen; sisters Cora Klepperich, Lucille Jansen, Mary Brown, and Ida Meuleners.

Frank is survived by his loving family; wife of 68 years Bernadette; daughter Mary Ellen Jansen and special friend Elliott Stavrum of Chanhassen; sister and brother-in-law Kathryn and Gilbert Hoen of Waconia; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law; Leonard and Eleanor Meuleners of Cologne, Vangie Schneider of Waconia, Harriet Meuleners of Cologne; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends; Casket Bearers were James Brown, Pat Schneider, Lee Schneider, Ronald Meuleners, Leonard Hoen Jr., John Meuleners.
