Jonathan B. Hobby
(February 7, 1994 - August 26, 2012)
A Celebration of Life Homecoming service for Jonathan B. Hobby who died Sunday, August 26, 2012 will be held at 2:30PM Thursday, August 30, at First Baptist Church. The services will be conducted by Rev. Jerry Bradley, Dr. Milton Snyder, Rev. John Cotton and Rev. Rob Hobby. Burial will be at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Jonathan was born on February 7, 1994 in Macon, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Frank Hobby and his uncle, Lawson Hobby. Jonathan attended public schools in Macon and Milledgeville and at JMA and EBLA. He had been a Boy Scout and played football and baseball. Jonathan was a member of First Baptist Church of Milledgeville and loved his family and friends. Survivors include his mother Melissa Hobby of Macon, his brother Andy Schmidth (Jordan Penley) of Alpharetta, his grandmother Shirley Hobby of Milledgeville, uncles, Mark Hobby of Milledgeville, Chris Hobby (Anne) of Bainbridge and aunts, Jennifer of Milledgeville and Ronda of Watkinsville, cousins, Stephen Griffis, Katie Griffis and Ian Walker of Watkinsville, Sarah and Michal Hobby of Bainbridge, Elizabeth Hobby of Monticello, Lawson Hobby of Milledgeville and Lanier Hobby of Maryland. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6PM until 8PM at Moores Funeral Home. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to First Baptist Church of Milledgeville. Moores Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of arrangements.
