Morris "Knob" Perle, 85, of Gasconade, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Hermann Area District Hospital, Hermann, Missouri.

Mr. Perle was born in Gasconade, Missouri on October 12, 1926, the son of the late Hugo and Etta (Jett) Perle.

He was the husband of Peggy A. (Wright) Perle. They were married February 27, 1953 at Pocahontas, Arkansas. Peggy survives in Gasconade.

Morris is also survived by two daughters, Holly Bloch & husband Hansie of Hermann and Kelly Eyster & husband Eric of Ballwin, Missouri, two grandsons Derrek Fricke of Ballwin, Missouri and Jordan Fricke & wife Kenna of Montgomery City, Missouri, a great granddaughter Hadley Oden of Montgomery City and a sister-in-law Colleen Wright of Jefferson City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a member of Gasconade Union Church, Gasconade, Missouri, where he was a member of the board and also served as secretary for over 30 years. He was a former Gasconade County School Board member and he was a member of the Gasconade County Bible Society. Morris was a huge Cardinal Baseball fan his whole life. He enjoyed gardening and hunting mushrooms.

He worked for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. He started in Gasconade Boat Yard, working on the Sgt. Floyd Dredge. He then took an accounting job at Gasconade Boat Yard where he was transferred to Glascow for a period of time. He then came back to Gasconade where he continued to work for the corp until retiring in the late 1980's.

Visitation will be Friday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, Hermann, Missouri.

Funeral Services will be held at Gasconade Union Church, Gasconade, Missouri at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 11th, with Rev. Brock Eckert officiating.

Burial will be at Gasconade Cemetery, Gasconade, Missouri.
