Elizabeth Lucille Albinson (nee Shepherd), aged 97, of Magnolia Street, New Smyrna Beach, died Wednesday, May 30 at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler-Edgewater Care Center, Edgewater.

Mrs. Albinson moved to Florida in 1986 from Lake Gilman, New Jersey, where she lived for 37 years. She graduated from Woodbury High School in 1932 and then Pierce Business School. She earned a Certificate in Business Administration from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. In 1970, she completed her associate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She worked for 20 years as Administrative Assistant in the Dept. of Pharmacology at University of Pennsylvania Medical School. Mrs Albinson enjoyed visits from family and church friends, swimming in the ocean, classical music, and books about American or English history. Her mind was active and full of stories until the end.

Betty is the widow of Wesley Ross Albinson, her husband of 64 years. She is survived by her daughters, Eileen Jumikis of Trenton, NJ and Shirley Daniels of Lake Gilman, NJ; grandchildren, Bruce E. Scull, Jr. of Mullica Hill, NJ and Lauren A. Scull of Lake Gilman, NJ; and great-grandchildren, Victoria, Trey and Ross Scull of Mullica Hill, NJ. She was also loved by her caregivers, Fran and Charlotte.

Mass of Requiem will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 22 at Saint Paul's Episcopal Church, 1650 Live Oak Street, New Smyrna Beach, where she was a member. The Reverend Deke Miller will officiate. Interment of cremains will follow at St. Paul's Resurrection Garden.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to either St. Paul's Episcopal Church, for the Kings Daughters or to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/ Flagler at www.hovf.org.
