Ann Louise Burton Stark, age 81, of Cross Timbers, MO, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2012, at the Colonial Springs Healthcare Center in Buffalo, Missouri. She was born on April 5, 1931, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Charles Vernon and Mille B. Drennon Burton.

She lived in Kansas City until she was 8 years old and her family moved to Cross Timbers, Missouri. She graduated in 1949 as salutatorian from Cross Timbers High School. As a young woman, she joined the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church and remained a member there all her life. On March 26, 1950, she was united in marriage to Junior LeWayne Stark at Cross Timbers, Missouri. They made their home in the Jordon community where they owned and operated a dairy farm. Unto this union, one son and three daughters were born.

Ann worked for 27 years with her husband, LeWayne as secretary and office manager for the Benton County Farmers Mutual Insurance Company and the Columbia Mutual Insurance Company.

She was active in the community and spent several years as a room mother, volunteer and supporter of her children, grandchildren, nieces and great nieces and nephews school and community activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Gary Wayne Stark on May 19, 1953, and her husband, LeWayne, on November 10, 2003.

Surviving is three daughters, Vickie Diesel and her husband, Harry, of Gladstone, Missouri, Patricia Bybee and her fiancée, Mike Heirigs of Cross Timbers, Missouri and Melissa Hinkle and her husband, Eric, of Hutchinson, Kansas, six grandchildren, Jennifer McCracken, and her husband, Clayton, Elizabeth Diesel, Chad Bybee and his wife, Jenny, Devin Bybee and his wife, Halley, Brian Hinkle and Sabrina Hinkle, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Carol Joy Driskill and her husband, Marvin, of Cross Timbers, Missouri, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Ann Louise Stark will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 3, 2012 at the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, Missouri. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Cross Timbers, Missouri. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 P.M., Wednesday evening at the Reser Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Benton County Cancer Fund, Citizens Memorial Hospice or the Fairview Baptist Church in care of the Reser Funeral Home, Warsaw, MO.
