James Thomas “Jim” Aaron, age 88, of Queen City, Texas, died Thursday, December 9, 2010 in a local nursing home.
Mr. Aaron was born April 22, 1922 in Texarkana, Arkansas. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II and was retired from Carpco Steel. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge # 672, Elks Lodge BP0E #399 and Hella Shrine Club. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Alice Aaron.
He is survived by two sons, James Aaron and Jerry Aaron, both of Queen City, Texas and two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and Tommy Vahle, of Rowlett, Texas, and Eddie and Steve Hill, of Tyler, Texas, 11 grand children, 16 great grand children and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 1 P.M. Monday, December 13, 2010 at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with John Hall officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Sunday December 12, 2010 at the funeral home.
