Mr. Ralph Vance Bolding, age 62, a resident of Eufaula, Oklahoma, and former resident of Dierks, died Sunday, November 7th after a long battle with cancer.
He was born to John Wilson and Virgie Manasco Bolding at El Dorado, Arkansas, on August 31, 1948. He graduated from El Dorado High School in 1966. He was a former employee of Superior Siding , De Queen, Arkansas. He built houses for many years, along side his wife. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working with wood, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved his community, and served as Alderman for several years in Dierks.
Ralph was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, Tommie Shipman Bolding of Eufaula, Okla.; one son, Vance Bolding of Hot Springs, Ark.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Becky and Hal Strasner of Umpire, Ark.; Cicyli and Mark King of Nashville, Ark., and Summer and Josh Markham of Dierks, Ark.; his mother, Virgie Bolding of El Dorado, Arkansas, a brother and sister-in-law, John and Cynthia Bolding of Norphlet, Ark.; nine grandchildren, Madison, Jarrett, Laney, Faith, Jadin, Isaac, Masea, Dylan, and Gage, and three nieces, as well as other family members and a host of friends.
Memorial Services for Mr. Ralph Bolding will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 20th in the Chandler Funeral Home Chapel, De Queen, with Don Peek officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, Ok 73123.
