Brian Keith Archibee of 9055 State Route 3, Sandy Creek died at home on March 11, 2010 at the age of 53. Brian was born on January 18, 1957 in Watertown, NY. He was the youngest son of Arnold and Dora Graham Archibee.
He is survived by his brothers Ronald (SueAnn) Archibee of Sandy Creek, David Archibee of Redfield, Daniel (Diane) Archibee, and his sister, Lydiann (Roger) McClure of Lakeland ,Florida, and six nephews, Christopher, Benjamin, Justin, Adam, Chad, and Joe and three nieces, Danielle, Karrie, and Brooke. His brother, Bruce Archibee, died September 22, 1984.
Brian was a graduate of Sandy Creek Central School, Jefferson Community College and SUNY Oswego, where he earned a B.S. in Industrial Arts Education in 1979. He taught one year at the Youth Development Center in Manchester, New Hampshire before returning to New York where he was a Carpenter with the Carpenters Union Local 747. Foremost in his life was his love and devotion to his family.
Brian lived life on his own terms and he was a most giving and generous person. He too, was a collector of things, a lover of tractors and most things mechanical. He saw beauty in and was happiest when surrounded by the people and things he loved.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held this summer at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Friendship Shop, Sandy Creek, N.Y. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
