The daughter of Zachary Pierce and Hattie Mae Rounsaville Chester, she was born October 22, 1917 in Plainview, AR. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dardanelle. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 58 years Everett Pelt; siblings, Z.P. Chester and Joe Chester. Survivors include son, Jerry Pelt & wife Annetta of Dardanelle; Daughter, Peggy Goodwin & husband George of McGehee, AR; four grandchildren, Jessica Robinson & husband Blake of Dardanelle, Joe Pelt of Dardanelle, Amy Ross & husband John of Little Rock, Lesa Culp & husband Blake of Marvell; great grandchildren, Jordan Duncan & Abby Marie Robinson of Dardanelle, Camille & Emily Culp of Marvell; sister, Lou Smith of Independence, MO.; three brothers, C.E. Chester of Cornelius, OR., O.D. Chester of Paris, AR., Bill Chester of Springdale, AR. Funeral will be at 2:00pm, Monday, November 9, 2009 at Humphrey Chapel. Reverend Mike Smith will officiate.
