Rebecca was born May 13, 1976 in Bogota, Columbia in South America. She was adopted at the age of four by Carl F. and Janice D. (Baum) Harris. She grew up attending Homer Schools. After her senior year she moved to Wisconsin and lived with her sister Janarl Roesler and her family. She later lived in Florida for a short time and the past several years has lived in Missouri. There she met Danny Cosert and the couple became engaged to be married.
She liked to play bingo. Rebecca enjoyed visiting over the internet with her family and friends.
Surviving are her parents Carl and Janice Harris of Homer; fiancé Danny Cowsert Jr. of Hermitage, MO, her sisters Janarl (Rick) Roesler of Pardeeville, WI and Peggy (Wayne) Thomas of Homer, her brothers Mike (Rhonda) Harris and Chris (Laurie) Harris all of Marshall, her grandmother Josephine Pell of Marshall and 6 nieces, 5 nephews, 2 great-nieces and a great-nephew expected to arrive soon! She was preceded in death by a brother Tim Harris and grandparents.
Friends may call at Craig K.Kempf Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 723 Old 27 North, Marshall on Sunday 3PM-5PM. Services will be held at graveside in Eckford Cemetery on Monday, Nov. 9, at 11AM with Rev. David Litchfield of United Methodist Church officiating. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Carl Harris.
