Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Grand Coteau. Deacon Ken Arnaud of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church of Carencro will officiate at the services.
Ms. Guilbeaux was a native of Sunset and had been a resident of Lafayette for nearly fifty years. She was employed as a waitress and a babysitter. Ms. Guilbeaux enjoyed playing bourré and dominoes as well as taking trips to the casino. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. Ms. Guilbeaux was a parishioner of St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Lafayette.
Survivors include two sons, Darrell Guilbeaux of Dardanelle, AR and Danny Guilbeaux of Lafayette; three daughters, Patsy Romero, Linda Leblanc and her husband, Gordon, and Marquitte Guilbeaux, all of Lafayette; fifteen grandchildren; twenty nine great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; and four sisters, Rose Guidry of Welch, Effie Speyrer of Carencro, Rena Breaux of Lafayette and Avia Breaux of Sunset.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Guilbeaux; her parents, Olide Ledger and the former Angelle Hebert; one grandson, Randall David Romero; one brother, Anatole Ledger; and two sisters, Rosetta Ledger and Lucille Royer.
A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Friday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
Pallbearers will be Ray Romero, Stevan Melancon, III, Cal LeBlanc, Danny Guilbeaux, II, Waylon Guilbeaux and Shelby Cormier. Honorary pallbearer will be Dylan Melancon.
