She was born on May 11, 1943, in Madison County, at Paint Lick, to the late Samuel “Sam” Lewis and Dollie Lee (Hiatt) Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Emma “Granny” Lewis and a daughter. She was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Chapel Wesleyan Church on Aspen Avenue.
Nancy is survived by two daughters, Deena and Dollie Lamb, both of Richmond; two sons, Tony Lamb (Kim) of Berea, and Russell “JR” Lamb, Jr., of Lexington; three sisters, Clara Dean Carpenter (Allison) and Maudie Howard (Paul), both of Kirksville and Mary Guthrie (Elbert) of North Carolina. She also leaves her grandchildren, Megan, Sabrina, Shawn, Olivia and Joshua Lamb of Berea; Samuel and Katelyn Johnson of Richmond; and Chris, Dre and Kennedy Lamb of Berea.
Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2009, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Bro. Tommy Masters officiating. Burial will follow at Madison County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Chris, Dre, and Shawn Lamb, Carl and Lonnie Foster and Ricky Cheeks.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 p.m. Friday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
