Gregory J. Wood, Sr., age 58, of Michigan City, died Monday, November 2, 2009 at his home in Michigan City. Services will be held Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Cremation will take place. Mr. Wood was born December 12, 1950 in Michigan City to Westley and Margaret (Venice) Wood Jr. His father preceded him in death, his mother survives in Michigan City. Also surviving is his daughter Lisa (Darcy) Munguia of Chesterton, sons Gregory J. (Anne) Wood Jr. of Valparaiso, and Jeremy R. Wood of Michigan City, grandchildren Nikki, Kaley, and Kia Munguia of Chesterton, and brother Doug (Chris) Wood of Trail Creek. Mr. Wood was a 1969 graduate of Elston High School. He had been a custodian at Marsh School for over 20 years. Memorial contributions may be made to donor’s choice.
