Virginia Ann (Cronister) Huston, 88 of Pittsburg, KS passed away at 9:03 a.m. Sunday, November 1, 2009 at her home. She was born September 7, 1921 at Pittsburg, KS to George and Grace (Plunkett) Cronister. She graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1939. On November 22, 1941 she was united in marriage to Hugh Forrest Huston in Pittsburg, KS. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1995. Mrs. Huston was employed by Southwestern Bell as a telephone operator for 26 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She is survived by one sister Grace P. Cronister of Pittsburg, KS; and thirteen nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, H. Lee Cronister and Roy W. Conister, one sister, Mildred Glaser and one nephew Lee Cronister III. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 4th) at the Brenner Mortuary with Reverend Gene DeWitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday. The family suggests memorials to First Baptist Church of Pittsburg, KS.
