Michael Dean Anderson

Our beloved, Michael Dean Anderson, passed away unexpectedly from a heart ailment. He went to be with the Lord while doing one of the things he loved doing, deer hunting, in Hayward, WI. He left us on October 30, 2009 at the young age of 59.

Mike was born August 30, 1950 in Bristol, West Virginia to his parents William and Irene Anderson. He is survived by his mother, who lives in New Carlisle, IN, and was married to his loving, caring wife Ana Bull-Anderson who lives in Rolling Prairie, IN.

Also surviving are his children Christy Anderson and Carrie Anderson both of Michigan City, Anthony (Emily) Anderson of Chicago IL, Christopher (Annette) Bull of Indianapolis, IN and Jeffrey (Jill) Bull of Virginia Beach, Va; grandchildren Trystan Anderson, Seth Graham, Carver Bull and Ethan Bull; brothers and sisters: Lester Anderson, Gary Anderson, Jill (Bubba) Chadwell of Mishawaka, Jeff (Paula) Anderson, Diana Browns, South Bend, Denise (Dick) Freestone of Rollling Prairie, Pat (Ralph) Messinger of Lubbock, TX, Rev. David (Lois) Anderson of Dearborn Hgts, MI, Agnes (Bill) Martine of Buckeye, AZ, and Jan (Paul) Davis of Surprise, AZ. Preceding him in death are his dad, William Anderson, brother Joe Anderson, and sister-in-law Vickie Anderson.

Mike was a machinist of Acelor/Mittal Steel Co., Burns Harbor, IN for 40 of his joyous years. Mike loved his family dearly and was an outdoorsman-sportsman and was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he was currently serving as a Deacon.

The family would like for all memorials to go to the youth group of First Presbyterian Church, Michigan City, IN or Dunebrook, Child Abuse Prevention Programs.

Viewing will be at Carlisle Funeral Home, 613 Washington St., Michigan City, 219-874-4214 on Wednesday Nov. 4 from 4 to 8 p.m. The service will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 121 W. 9th St., , Michigan City, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the service. He will be laid to rest at New Carlisle Cemetery immediately following the service. Dinner will be at the American Legion Post 357, 5414 Sample St., South Bend, IN.
