Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at West View Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Bradley officiating. Mrs. Benford was retired co-owner of Benford’s Fine Foods and manager of Family Dollar. She was the widow of Lamar Sims Benford and a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Sara Ann Birdsong (Claudus), of Appling, GA; and Verna Miller of Macon, Marion Baggett (Sandy), of Alpharetta, GA; Loran Hardie, of Gordon; and Denton Hardie (Susan) of Leesburg. She is also survived by 7 great-nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Moores Funeral Home.
