Mrs. Chouinard and her late husband operated the former Chouinard Funeral Home. A celebrated violinist, and graduate of New England Conservatory of Music, she taught at Fernald State School, Waverly, MA and was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota. She was active in the Fall River Senior and Junior Music Clubs and was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of Notre Dame Parish and past-president of the Exchangettes.
She leaves 3 children, Nicole Chouinard of Port Charlotte, FL, Claude Chouinard and his wife Elizabeth of Dartmouth, MA and Margo Gizzi and her husband David of Westport, MA; 3 grandchildren, Kristin and Karin Gizzi and Harrison Chouinard; 3 step-grandchildren, Heather, Sarah and Matthew Lecuyer and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Fridoland “Fred” and Alberta “Bertha” (Picard) Berube.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 11:00 AM. Entombment, Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
