He was a retired coal miner and attended Jarrell Valley Community Church. He is survived by his wife, Josie; daughters, Lora Ball and Teresa Cook of Uneeda; sons, Ernest Brown of Uneeda and Robert Brown of Danville; sister, Juanita Thomas of Nellis; brother, William Brown of Summersville; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 4 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with the Rev. Ronnie Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery, Clothier, WV.
