Brashears Funeral Home, Inc.: Obituaries

Mary Lou Scott, 82, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died November 1, 2009 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born September 22, 1927 at Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of William Marshall and Bernice L. Woolridge Pickering. She graduated from Central High School in Springfield and attended Drury University in Springfield. She was the widow of James Robert Scott who preceded her in death on June 3, 2008. She and her husband owned and operated Scott's Family Center in Huntsville for many years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Huntsville and a former member of the Huntsville Friendship Club. She enjoyed quilting.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Patsy Scott of Huntsville, Arkansas and Sam and Mitzi Scott of Rogers, Arkansas; one brother and sister-in-law, William "Bill" and Dorothy Pickering of Ozark, Missouri; three grandsons and granddaughters-in-law, Tom and Amber Scott of Huntsville, Arkansas, Jay and Danae Scott of Colcord, Oklahoma and David and Elizabeth Scott of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Kathleen Scott of Rogers, Arkansas and one great-grandson, Mason James Scott of Colcord, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A. M. Wednesday, November 4, at the First Baptist Church in Huntsville with The Reverend Brad Owens and The Reverend Doctor Bill Banks officiating. Interment will be in the Huntsville Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be: Tom Scott, Jay Scott, David Scott, Don Bohannon, Dean McChristian and Wayne Hunt. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P. M. to 6:30 P. M. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
