Cook, age 86, of Michigan City, died Sunday, November 1, 2009 at The Arbors of Michgian City. Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Carlisle Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, Nov. 5 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City. Mrs. Cook was born November 7, 1922 in LaPorte to Roy and Elise (Hubner) Anderson, both of whom preceded her in death. On August 18, 1945 in Michigan City she married Edward J. Cook, he preceded her in death on October 4, 1984. She is survived by her son Edward L. (Deborah) Cook, grandchildren Edward L. Cook Jr., Gary A. Cook, Katherine M. (Steven) Westphal and Robert (Holly Rutkowski) Cook, great-grandchildren Crystal Ward, Jeremy Cook, Hanna Westphal and Katie Cook, 2 great-great grandchildren, Zander Ward and Skylar Cook, and sisters Ruth Merchant and Alyce Galko. Mrs. Cook had been a secretary with NIPSCO for 22 years, until her retirement in 1986. She loved her family and grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to donor choice. Print Obituary
