Carlo A. DiTeodoro, Jr.

U.S. Veteran Carlo A. DiTeodoro, Jr., 82, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Friday, October 30, 2009. Born in Wilmington, Mr. DiTeodoro was the son of Carlo & Mary DiTeodoro. He retired after 31 years as the police chief in Penns Grove and was a veteran of World War II 88th Division (Blue Devils). Mr. DiTeodoro had also been a member of the Penns Grove Fire Department, Corpus Christi R.C. Church, the VFW, the Fraternal Order of the Police, the Citizen's League and a past secretary of the Elks Lodge #1358.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Eva (nee: Gray), three children, Carlo 3rd, of Pennsville, Connie and her husband George Lange of Carney's Point and Michael and his wife Andrea of Carney's Point, a sister Velia Priest of Pennsville, two brothers, Mario DiTeodoro and John DiTeodoro of Delaware, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. His two brothers, Arnold and Humbert DiTeodoro predeceased him.

Services will be held at the Adams Funeral Home, 18 E. Maple Ave., Penns Grove, NJ. The viewing will be held Tuesday night, November 3rd, from 7 till 9pm and again Wednesday morning starting at 10am. The service will follow at 11am with interment at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery. www.adamsfuneralhome@comcast.net
