Leona L. Pierce, 87, of Hannibal, died at 2:15 am Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal.

Graveside Services and Burial will be at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, November 5, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal. Rev. Robert Axton will officiate.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pierce was born May 7, 1922, in Hannibal, MO to Leonard and Nora Bell Flowers Morgan.

She was married to William Pierce in Hannibal, MO. He preceded her in death in February 1981.

Survivors include 2 Sons, Larry Pierce (Tammy) of Lebanon, IN, Steve Pierce (Jackie) of Covington, LA, 1 Daughter, Judy Murphy (Chuck) of Hannibal, MO, 1 Sister, Louise Chapman of Hannibal, MO, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter; Darlene Gray, 2 brothers; and six sisters and one son; William Pierce.

Mrs. Pierce was a homemaker. She liked traveling, fishing and playing bingo. Mrs. Pierce attended Palmyra Pentecostal Church.

Memorials may be made to the family in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Nichelson, Ryan Nichelson, Austin Nichelson, Jeremy Pierce, Terry White, and Russell LaFond.

Honorary pallbearers will be Amber White, Tabby White, Courtney Gray, Lea Gray, Missy Gray, Mykayla Gray, and Morgan Gray.
