Pleas Monroe Myers, age 68, of Maryville, went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, October 31, 2009. Preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Sr. and Beulah Myers; brother, Richard Lee Myers; father in law and mother in law, Allen and Viola Seay; daughter in law, Patty Myers; sister in law, Katherine Howard, brothers in law, Earl Seay, Lloyd Seay, Robert Hutsell, and Rollie Swafford. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Thula Myers; daughter and son in law, Edwina and Ricky Bates; son, Hubert Myers (husband of Patty Myers); grandchildren, Tim and Katie Bynum, Michael and Christie Myers, and Tosha Bates; great grandchildren, Aidan, Zoey, and Zakeira; brother and sister in law, H.E. and Wilma Myers; sisters and brothers in law, Mattie Hutsell, Charlotte Swafford, Margaret and Robert Watkins, Edna and Fred Watkins; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Riverview Baptist Church in Rockford, Rev. Robert Watkins and Rev. Fred Watkins officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow at Clarkâs Grove Cemetery.
