HELENE KLAMET (nee Cifranic), age 88, of Jefferson City died Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Capital Region Medical Center.

Helene graduated in 1944 from the Old Fairview Park Hospital School of Nursing. She remained at the Hospital, working in the Nursery specializing in Premature Baby Care, now known as Neonatal Care. In 1946 she married George Klamet who just came home from military service in the Philippines Island. After her first child was born, she went to work part-time in the I.C.C. unit at Deaconess Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. She remained there for 25 years until her retirement.

Following retirement, Helene and George moved to Cambridge, Pennsylvania, where they lived until 1995, when they moved to Parma Heights, Ohio because of health reasons. She lived to cook and bake until she lost her vision.

Helene is survived by her beloved husband George of Jefferson City; loving children: Dr. Terry Klamet (Kristi) of Jefferson City, Donna Klamet, Susan Harwood (Jeffrey), Kathy Klamet; cherished grandchildren, Ryan and Sean Harwood and Ashley Klamet. She was a dear sister of the late John and George Cifranic and Mary Bakos. She will be forever loved and missed.

Friends will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 and from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the A. Ripepi & Sons Funeral Home, Middleburg Heights, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Cleveland, Ohio.
