Mrs. Karen Elizabeth Brooks Pierre, age 55 of Monroeville,AL died October 30, 2009 in a Mobile Hospital. She was a native of Elizabeth,LA but had lived in Monroeville most of her life. She is survived by her husband, Oather Pierre, of Monroeville, two daughters, Viola Louise Brooks, Salina Currington, both of Monroeville; three brothers, William Earnest Brooks, of Cantonment, Robert Earl Brooks, of Venice,LA, Charles Edward Brooks, of Empire,LA; and 18 step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at 10:00AM from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Darlene Young officiating. Burial will be in the Mineola Cemetery with Johnson Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Monday, November 2, 2009 from 5-8 PM at Johnson Funeral Home in Monroeville.
