John August Hanusch, Jr.

John August Hanusch, Jr., 99 native of Williamson County, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2009. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH35, Georgetown, Texas. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 10:00AM at Zion Lutheran Church, FM 1105, Walburg, Texas. Interment will follow at Zion Lutheran Cemetery. John was a farmer and a rancher all of his life, and loved the land and his livestock. John married Martha Victoria Jurecka on June 16, 1940 in Walburg, Texas. He was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church and the oldest member on record. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha, his parents, John and Marie Bethke Hanusch; three brothers, six sisters and one grandson. John leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving children, Vickie Leschber and her husband Harlan of Georgetown, John A. Hanusch, III of Georgetown, Martha Harris and her husband Lee of Liberty Hill, and David Hanusch and his wife Barbara of Georgetown; grandchildren, Vickie Gurganus and her husband James, Mike Leschber, Jana Ragsdill and husband Scott, Doug Leschber and his wife Karen, Stasi Vance, Chris Hanusch and his wife Sarah, Jessica Morris and her husband Todd, and Ross Alexander; great grandchildren, Stephanie Lloyd and her husband Lance, Travis Howell and his fiancé Christine Olsen, Justin Leschber, Cory Gurganus, Wesley Ragsdill, Ralston Vance, Jaycee Morris and Will Morris; great great grandchildren, Garrett “Rooster” Lloyd and Tiffany Lloyd; along with many other loving family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Walburg, Texas.
