She was a native of Conecuh County, Alabama and had resided in Monroeville for most of her life. She had worked as an examiner for Vanity Fair Mills and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband John Edward “Shug” Lynam and a number of brothers and sisters. Survivors include one son: Charles E. (Bobbie) Lynam, Monroeville, AL; one daughter: Sue (Jimmy) Chandler, Mexia, AL; five grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be Saturday, October 31, 2009 from 6 to 8 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 1, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Royce Dubose and Rev. Wayne McMillian officiating. Interment will follow in Pineveille Cemetery in Monroeville with Johnson Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
