A dedicated wife, mother and teacher, Barbara Adams, 69, of Pilesgrove passed away on October 27, 2009 at the Southgate Health Care Center. Born in Easton, PA, Mrs. Adams was the daughter of A. Edward & Martha Curtis. Mrs. Adams retired from Penns Grove-Carney's Point Regional High School in 2001 as a math teacher after 39 years of service. She graduated from Elizabethtown College with her teaching degree and was a member of the New Jersey Teacher's Association. Both her husband and son, could not stop talking about how she loved her family and about the passion she had for teaching and the love for the kids. Mrs. Adams was also member of the Salvation Army, she loved working in her garden and doing crossword puzzles with her husband Bill.
She is survived by her husband William Adams, her son William and his wife Jennifer of Mass. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Raymond.
Services will be held at the Adams Funeral Home 18 E. Maple Ave., Penns Grove. A viewing will be held on Monday night, November 2nd, from 7 till 9pm and again Tuesday morning, November 3rd, starting at 11am. Private services will follow the morning viewing at 12pm.
